I Want to Have a Faith Like Yours

"I want to have a faith like yours." It is like a melody to the ears of every Christian who brings and shares the good news to the lost, unreached, and hard to reach.

June 13, 2016-6 p.m., we arranged a Bible study in the house of Kuya A during our stay in one of the barangays. He is the first male who agreed to schedule a Bible study in his house. When we got there, he was not home. We thought that he might have changed his mind and preferred not to attend so we decided to go back to the base camp. As we walked back, we bumped into him on the street. He said that the reason he was not there was because he was inviting some of his friends, 7 of which actually attended the Bible study.

Our topic that night was Paul and Silas in prison. On the last part of our Bible Study, Avery asked if they were ready to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Two of the attendees said yes, one of those being Kuya A. He said that the reason he invited us to do a Bible study in his house was because he wanted to know God and His promises, that he didn't know anything about Him until we had come there and shared the Word to him. He said, "I want to have a faith like yours." I was looking straight at him and I saw the sincerity and seriousness in his face and his teary eyes. His words were like a melody that still echoes in my ear.

Avery continued by saying, "We cannot save someone, but we are the messengers of someone who can."  1 John 5:13 says "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life." God is really working.
